  • CUPPING THERAPY
    30 MINUTES

Cupping is an alternative therapy that involves placing cups on the skin to create suction, which is believed to improve blood flow, reduce pain, and promote healing. It has ancient roots in various cultures, including Chinese and Egyptian medicine.

First, I will give you a general massage to loosen your body. I will place the cups on the upper and lower back area and neck and shoulders where the tension is and I will pump 3-5 times to pull the bad blood from your body. This will release new healthy blood to flow unblocking you, then I will leave the cups on for 10 minutes, this will give it enough time for the bad blood to release and surface ensuring new blood flow and unblocking any tension.
I will do this 3 times to ensure your body is unblocked and new healthy blood is flowing through you, it will also take a few days to feel a difference.

After the cupping therapy, your body will have these round marks but don't worry they will disappear in 5 days to 2 weeks depending on the individual and the circulation, also drink plenty of water.

  • HOT STONE MASSAGE
    30 MINUTES AND 1 HOUR

A hot stone massage is a type of massage therapy that uses smooth, heated stones, usually basalt, placed on specific points of the body to warm and relax muscles, improve circulation, and relieve tension. I will apply these stones, with manual massage techniques and oils, to achieve a deeper level of muscle relaxation than a traditional massage. The heat helps to loosen tight muscles, allowing me to work more deeply, and can promote a state of deep relaxation and restoration.

    Benefits
    • Muscle relaxation and pain relief:
    • The heat and gentle pressure help to release muscle tension and ease pain.
    • Improved circulation:
    • The heat expands blood vessels, leading to better blood flow in the treated areas.
    • Stress reduction:
    • The treatment is known for inducing a deeply relaxed and meditative state, helping to reduce stress and anxiety.
    • Restful sleep:
    • Many people find they achieve a deeper, more restful sleep after a hot stone massage.
    Important Considerations
    • Who should avoid it:
    • Hot stone massage is not recommended for individuals with certain health conditions, including diabetes, high blood pressure, or a compromised immune system.
    • Aftercare:
    • It is recommended to drink plenty of water after the massage to help rehydrate the body and aid in flushing out toxins.
    • Afterglow:
    • After the treatment, you are likely to feel deeply relaxed, so it is best to have a clear schedule and avoid strenuous activities.

    • HIJAMA CUPPING

Hijama is an ancient form of wet cupping therapy that involves applying a vacuum cup to a small area of skin and making small scratches with a surgical, sterilised blade to draw out a small amount of blood. Key aspects include the wet cupping technique and traditional and religious significance.

    How it works:
Initial suction: Cups are placed on specific body points (like the back or shoulders) to pull blood to the surface.
Skin micro-cuts: The therapist removes the cup to make tiny, shallow scratches on the skin.
Second suction: The cup is put back on to draw out a small amount of fluid and blood.
    Duration:
The session will last between 20 and 30 minutes, depending on the patient.

    Traditional Uses and Benefits:
    • Pain relief: Used to ease back pain, neck aches, and headaches.
    • Detoxification: Believed to clear stagnant blood and toxins.
    • Spiritual practice: Highly regarded as a Sunnah practice in Islamic tradition.
    Safety and Risks:
    • Side effects: Temporary round bruising, skin redness, and minor soreness.
    • Infection risk: Requires strict sterile, single-use equipment to prevent bloodborne issues.
    • Who should avoid it: Not advised for people with bleeding disorders, severe anemia, or pregnant individuals.
    Aftercare:
    • Make sure not to have a shower for 24 hours after the procedure, this is to let the scratches heal up and for the new blood to flow properly. Also, make sure to drink plenty of water and hydrate after, and eat some high-protein food and some greens.
